How does this tool calculate?
We assume about 21 working days per month. Missed calls per month is: calls per working day × percentage missed × 21. A share of those would have become a customer, based on your conversion. The estimated lost revenue is then: lost customers × average customer value. For the year we multiply the monthly amount by twelve.
The result is explicitly an estimate to give a sense of the order of magnitude. These are your own assumptions, not an industry figure and not a promise.

Why do you use about 21 working days?
A month has roughly 21 working days on average. We use that as a rule of thumb to go from calls per day to a monthly total. If you work weekends or fewer days, keep that in mind when reading the result.
Do missed calls really count as lost revenue?
Not every missed call is a lost customer. Some callers try again or are not a serious enquiry. That is why we use your conversion rate: only the share that would become a customer counts toward the estimate.
What can I do to miss fewer calls?
